Not Your Average Cup of Tea
Being the sister of a professional kombucha brewer I am often asked…what is Kombucha? Well, I, having been made a believer, am happy to spread the news! Kombucha is a drink brewed by combining tea and sugar with a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast, or SCOBY, and allowing it to undergo a process of fermentation. Afterwards, Kayla flavors it using a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, fragrant herbs and spices, etc.? The end result is a bright, bubbly, healthy beverage that’s sure to refresh! But that’s just the tip of the iceberg…

Kombucha is believed to be quite beneficial to your health containing probiotics, antioxidants, and anti microbial elements thought to kill harmful bacteria and help promote a healthier gut! Kombucha can also help boost your immune system and aid in weight loss, and because we brew ours with Yerba mate, you’re also getting the health benefits of green tea!
Why we use Yerba mate
Yerba mate tea is made from the leaves and stems of the Ilex paraguariensis plant and chock-full of medicinal properties. It has been shown to be a diuretic, to help lower plasma cholesterol, to have cardiovascular benefits, and even to stimulate the central nervous system.
